What it is
Managed GitLab is a hosted and operated GitLab service for teams that use GitLab as their central platform for source code management, CI/CD, DevOps automation, and developer workflows. Customers use GitLab in production while we take care of operations, updates, maintenance, backup routines, runner topics, and operational stability.
GitLab is often deeply integrated into delivery processes. When repositories, pipelines, or runners are unavailable, development, releases, and platform automation are directly affected. Managed GitLab keeps this foundation stable, maintainable, and traceable.
What we operate
We operate the GitLab environment including system maintenance, version lifecycle, update planning, monitoring, backup and recovery routines, runner operations, troubleshooting, and operating documentation. We also support integrations with Kubernetes, OpenShift, container registries, identity providers, and existing CI/CD processes.
What it helps with
- Use GitLab reliably as a hosted DevOps platform
- Operate CI/CD pipelines and runners more stably
- Run updates and maintenance in a planned way
- Establish production-ready backup and recovery processes
- Analyze outages and performance issues faster
- Standardize and improve developer workflows
- Relieve platform and engineering teams from operational GitLab tasks
Operating model
Customers use GitLab as a managed service. We take care of hosting, technical operations, and ongoing maintenance. Together we define operating windows, responsibilities, escalations, and requirements for runners, projects, groups, integrations, and backup strategies. The service is designed to provide GitLab as a reliable foundation for software delivery.
Best fit
For teams that use GitLab in production and need a stable, operated platform for development and delivery. Especially suitable for organizations with business-critical pipelines, multiple development teams, Kubernetes or OpenShift integrations, and high requirements for availability and recoverability.
